Tom Reed applauds the passage of the 100 Years of Women in Congress Act. The bill renames the Women and Minorities in Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Fields Program the "Jeannette Rankin Women and Minorities in STEM Fields Program." Jeanette Rankin, the first woman to serve in Congress, was elected to represent Montana’s at-large district on March 4, 1917.

“As we approach the 100th anniversary of women in Congress, it is only right that we come together to support this legislation which recognizes the invaluable contributions of trailblazers like Ms. Rankin.  With this commemorative bill, we honor the women of our society who are leading the charge for equality and scientific advancement,” said Reed.
