Friends,

We had another busy week, as we continued working to create jobs and care for our veterans. Here are a few highlights:

Reed Celebrates Investment in Local Economy

We care about creating job opportunities for local families. That is why we are excited to announce that Dunkirk will soon be home to a new hi-tech manufacturing center!

This state-of-the-art facility will provide quality, family-sustaining jobs for generations to come.

Reed Supports Working Families

We continued our commitment to creating jobs by sponsoring the Make It in America Manufacturing Communities Act. This bill encourages job creation by providing local manufacturers with the designation necessary to receive federal grant funding.

Our workforce is second to none. Given the opportunity to compete on a fair and level playing field, our workers will win every time. This bill creates that opportunity.

Reed Cares for Veterans

The House passed a series of bills that support our veterans by ensuring they have access to health care, education, job training, and mental health services.

This was the most recent example of our ongoing commitment to caring for the men and women who have served our country.

Reed Fights to End Diabetes

As co-chair of the Congressional Diabetes Caucus, I am committed to helping families affected by diabetes. This week, we met with Christel Schaldemose, a member of the European Parliament Working Group on Diabetes, to discuss how we can work together to end diabetes in the United States and around the world.

Reed Welcomes Seneca Nation Leaders

It was a pleasure to meet with representatives from the Seneca Nation of Indians, who visited our office earlier this week.
