Tom Reed continued his fight on behalf of New York families after being appointed to serve as a Vice Chair to President-Elect Donald J. Trump’s Presidential Transition Team. “We care about the future of our country, the people who live here, especially those across our region. This opportunity is both honoring and humbling and is a chance to make our country stronger and more prosperous. I’m looking forward being a positive voice in this process and will continue to put the needs of our region first,” said Tom Reed.

Reed was appointed to the position along with Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), Congresswomen Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and others. His responsibilities will include helping make decisions regarding the Trump administration’s staff in the White House and helping set policy priorities for the first term.

“I’m excited to get to work. Our work is cut out for us, but we can make real progress on the issues that matter most, including creating jobs, revitalizing American manufacturing and reforming our tax code,” said Reed.

“Mr. Trump has been an advocate for the working men and women of our region, and brought the issues that mattered most to them to the national forefront during the campaign. I’m encouraged by the attention that was offered to U.S. manufacturing and jobs and will continue to fight to make sure that cause is given the support it needs to grow. Together, we can make America great again,” Reed concluded.
