Rep. Tom Reed stopped by the annual Empire Farm Days at Rodman Lott & Son Farms and spoke with farmers from across our region.

“We care about our farmers and want to ensure they have a fair shot at success,” Tom said. “We value the input received from farmers in our community today and look forward to bringing their concerns and ideas back to Washington.”

“Thank you Congressman Reed for stopping by Empire Farm Days and speaking with farmers across the Northeast," Show Manager Melanie Wickham said. "It is great to see a representative taking an active role in listening to the serious concerns farmers face every day.”

"It is important for our farmers to engage with Rep. Reed on a number of federal issues, including trade, immigration reform and the Farm Bill," New York State Farm Bureau State Director Lin Davidson said. "In this struggling farm economy, it is critical that our federal representatives understand our concerns, and New York Farm Bureau appreciates Rep. Reed's visit to Empire Farm Days and his active engagement on the issues that matter to me and my fellow farmers."

The Farm Bill, which Tom voted in favor of, is being worked on by members of the House and Senate to resolve differences in the bill before it goes to the President’s desk for his signature. Empire Farm Days is the largest outdoor agriculture show in the northeast.
