Today, Rep. Tom Reed announced a $167,000 grant to provide Finger Lakes Community Health with funding to support their efforts to provide healthcare in the community.

“We care about ensuring that our friends and neighbors have fair access to affordable and high-quality healthcare,” Tom said. “This grant enables Finger Lakes Community Health to grow their team, ensuring the continuation of quality care provided and boosting jobs.”

“This funding from HRSA will assist Finger Lakes Community Health to expand our integration of behavioral health services and primary care,” said Mary Zelazny, CEO of Finger Lakes Community Health. “We will use this funding to hire care management staff that assist our patients through their health care needs within our health centers and also when referred to our behavioral health partners.”

Finger Lakes Community Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides healthcare services to the Finger Lakes region. As a FQHC, Finger Lakes Community Health offers discounts for services, regardless of a patient’s insurance status, based on income and household size. The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) provides funding for FQHCs.
