This week, we wanted to highlight the Republican solution to combat climate change we recently released – The Energy Sector Innovation Credit Act.
This plan works by offering a tax incentive for new energy technologies to increase energy on the grid, help cutting-edge technologies break into the market, and incentivize
older energy sources to innovate and slash global emissions. This act will also make sure unneeded energy is not rewarded financially so it will not be unnecessarily produced.
This is the Republican alternative to the Green New Deal because we all know that government mandates mean nothing if you don’t have the technology to meet those demands.
Our climate is changing – there is no denying this. We have to unleash the greatest asset we have available to prevent this pending crisis – the power of American ingenuity and innovation. These two things have solved a multitude of world problems in the past – this situation is no different. By empowering new technologies and encouraging changes in older energy sources, we can and will make a difference.
