Dear Neighbor,

This week, we have been working to make your voice heard across the state by standing with our state colleagues in RochesterLockportJamestown, and Horseheads. During these conversations, we reflected on the efforts that positioned portions of the state to reopen while urgently pushing Albany to develop a more common-sense approach to getting folks back to work.

During this statewide tour, we have called on the Governor to:

  • Institute a more flexible reopening strategy that does not unfairly lump economically, medically, and geographically different Western New York counties together.
  • Consider how a bureaucratic responses to a public health crisis is unnecessarily hurting small businesses and local economies.
  • Encourage inter-regional resource sharing and collaboration.

We will continue to work closely with local and state leaders to meet key health metrics and get communities’ economies up and running again as soon as possible. We care about making sure our constituents’ voices are heard at every level of government and will continue to bring your feedback to where it needs to be heard the most.

Until Next Time,

Tom
