CHEMUNG COUNTY, NY – Rep. Tom Reed is proud to announce $3.8 million in Federal Transit Administration funding through the CARES Act for Chemung County. The funding will be used to continue the C-Tran System throughout the COVID-19 crisis.

The Cares Act funding will go a long way to help Chemung county continue vital public transportation services that benefit our community in many ways.We feel fortunate to be able to provide a fare-free system during this time to reduce economic hardship and promote social distancing. Equally important, we endeavor to retain as much of the essential workforce as possible." said Panya Chhoeuy, General Manager of C-Tran.
