REP. TOM REED DELIVERS $34,000 GRANT TO TOWN OF CATLINCATLIN, NY – Today, Rep. Reed is pleased to deliver a USDA Rural Development grant for the Town of Catlin. The grant will be used for the purchase of a 2021 Western Star 10-wheel truck that will include a snowplow and a dump body. The USDA will also provide additional loan financing to support the purchase. The federal assistance will give Catlin the opportunity to replace a previously unreliable and expensive truck. “It is only fair that our towns have access to the tools they need to keep our roadways safe and maintain our infrastructure,” said Reed. “We were proud to support the funding for this new vehicle and will continue to fight for the resources and infrastructure our rural communities deserve.” “The USDA loans for the Town of Catlin is something that the town will take full advantage of,” said LaVerne Phelps, Catlin town supervisor. “The grant money that goes along with the USDA loans is really very helpful and is a real savings to the town.” |
