House Passes Bill to Approve Keystone Pipeline
Today Tom Reed voted in support of H.R 5682, a bill that will require the executive branch to approve the Keystone XL Pipeline through the central U.S. The House of Representatives took another step forward on a critical infrastructure project that will create over 42,000 fair jobs, that American consumers and workers will benefit from, lower energy costs and provide reliable and affordable North American energy.
“Construction of Keystone XL will help provide energy security for our nation,” said Reed “Keystone is just one aspect of the work needed to upgrade and improve our nation’s energy infrastructure. I care about the bottom line for all Americans and an energy policy which helps them save money and their security, is a fair solution.”
The Senate is set to vote on similar legislation next week.
