Rep. Tom Reed to Host Senior Resource Event in Big Flats
Rep. Tom Reed will host a free senior resource event in Chemung County for senior citizens, family members, and caregivers on Tuesday, May 14th from 10:00am until noon at the Big Flats Community Center.
“This is a great opportunity for seniors and their caregivers to have their questions answered on a variety of topics, all in one place,” said Rep. Reed. “Rather than having to travel to multiple offices around the county and district, our seniors will be able to speak to representatives about Social Security, Medicare and the Veterans Administration under the same roof.”
Representatives from government agencies including experts in Medicare, Social Security, Veterans Administration and other senior programs will be in attendance to answer questions and offer guidance.
Congressman Reed will also speak with seniors about their priorities: “I hope seniors take this opportunity to share their thoughts about these programs and how we can work together to strengthen them. We know firsthand in the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes just how important they are to our family members and to ourselves.”
The senior resource event will be held Tuesday, May 14th at the Big Flats Community Center, 476 Maple Street in Big Flats. Those interested in attending are encouraged to drop by anytime between 10:00am and noon. Constituents can contact Reed’s district office in Corning at (607) 654-7566 with any questions.
